"comment": "It was just getting dark when I arrived on location, and I could already see discrete arcs. There was a diffuse cloud on the south of the main aurora with some undulations that lasted a long time. I moved to a different location at 9:50. Diffuse arc was still there, but losing its undulations. The main arc broke up again about 10:30 and there were bright discrete arcs for awhile. It calmed down again, with just a bright fringe on the bottom of the arc. At 11:45 the arc exploded with a high pillared curtain of red. After this happened, there was pulsating aurora until I left location at 1:15. This photo was taken at 9:31 p.m. CDT"
