"comment": "What I observed over the 3 hours was mostly a diffuse arc. Possibly some dunes in the diffuse aurora. It appeared that there was a lot of activity further north. There appeared to be a minor breakup about 1:20 a.m., followed by more diffuse with some bright areas. At about 2 a.m. waves appeared in the arc, looking like KH waves. By 3 a.m. I saw discrete arcs with high pillars at the south edge of the aurora. After that there was a ghostly arc above the aurora...difficult to tell the color in the photos, not visible to the naked eye."
