"comment": "When I went outside it was in expansion phase, a thick band. Breakup happened at 2:27 a.m. Recovery started at 2:38. Recovery was a beautiful long phase at least 2 hours, pulsating aurora the entire time with some other strong features. Photo is in recovery phase."

"comment": "There was some brief active motion at 8:45 p.m., and then a long period of just a diffuse band. The band started to break up about 9:30 p.m. I observed a many discrete arcs with a pink fringe, on and off until about midnight. I couldn't identify any particular substorm end, but that might have been since I was west of the midnight bulge. When the activity started, it came from the east."
