"comment": "The moon was very bright, so the aurora was difficult to see. STEVE appeared approximately 11:00 p.m. and I saw it off and on to my WNW and almost above me until about 11:50. There were a few bright green pickets. The aurora was mostly a diffuse band. The camera could detect some faint discrete arcs in the distance."
